COL BKB: Arkansas 78, Vanderbilt 73

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark., March 1 (UPI) -- Sonny Weems scored 20 points Saturday night when the Arkansas Razorbacks upset the 14th-ranked Vanderbilt Commodores 78-73.

The Commodores upset top-ranked Tennessee four days earlier.

Patrick Beverley had 17 points and seven rebounds for the Razorbacks (19-9, 8-6 SEC), who had lost four of five prior to Saturday. Gary Ervin and Darian Townes each scored 13 points as Arkansas went to 14-1 at home this season.

Shan Foster scored 22 points while hitting 6 of 8 three-pointers for Vanderbilt (24-5, 9-5), passing Matt Freije's mark of 1,891 points set in 2004 to become the Commodores all-time leading scorer with 1,894 points.

A.J. Ogilvy scored 20 points for the Commodores, who had a seven-game win streak stopped.
