MEMPHIS, Feb. 29 (UPI) -- Robin Soderling kept his hot streak going Friday, surprising Andy Roddick in the quarterfinals of the Regions Morgan Keegan Championships in Memphis.

Roddick won the ATP stop in San Jose last week and Soderling was the runner-up in Rotterdam. Their meeting Friday resulted in Soderling pulling off a 7-6 (8-6), 6-3 decision that will put him up against Radek Stepanek in the semifinals.

Stepanek, who lost to Roddick in the San Jose title match, ousted Chris Guccione 7-6 (7-4), 6-1.

In the other quarterfinals, Jonas Bjorkman defeated Donald Young 1-6, 6-2, 7-6 (8-6) and Steve Darcis was a 6-1, 6-0 winner over Benjamin Becker.
