FOXBOROUGH, Mass., Feb. 29 (UPI) -- Tedy Bruschi, who has appeared in more playoff games than any other member of the New England Patriots, re-signed with the team Friday.

The veteran linebacker was a third-round draft pick by New England in 1996 and has been with the team ever since.

Bruschi, 34, has played in 22 post-season contests. He was a Pro Bowl selection in 2004.

New England also announced it has released veteran tight end Kyle Brady, who has played 13 seasons with the Patriots, the New York Jets and Jacksonville.
