BOSTON, Feb. 28 (UPI) -- Two goals from Marco Strum Thursday helped the Boston Bruins record their fifth straight victory -- a 5-1 romp over Pittsburgh.

The winning streak is the Bruins' longest of the season. Zdeno Chara, P.J. Axelsson and David Krejci also scored for Boston and Tim Thomas stopped 27 shots.

Pittsburgh, which has lost three out of four, got its only goal from Pascal Dupuis.

Ty Conklin -- coming off a career-best, 50-save effort against the New York Islanders Tuesday -- wound up facing only 13 shots Thursday. He let three of them get by him and was removed for Marc-Andre Fleury, who made his first appearance since suffering an ankle sprain Dec. 6.

Marian Hossa, obtained by Pittsburgh in a trade with Atlanta Tuesday, left the game in the second period when he suffered a knee ligament sprain in a collision with Boston's Glen Murray.

Both of Strum's goals came in the first period, giving the Bruins a 2-0 lead at the end of the stanza.
