NBA: Atlanta 123, Sacramento 117

ATLANTA, Feb. 27 (UPI) -- Mike Bibby equaled a season-best effort with 24 points against his former team Wednesday in lifting Atlanta to a 123-117 win over Sacramento.

Bibby was traded from Sacramento to Atlanta 11 days ago and he has played against the Kings twice since then. Atlanta lost in a recent trip to Sacramento and the Hawks won Wednesday for just the second time in six games since making the trade.

Joe Johnson scored 26 points for Atlanta, making five of seven three-point attempts, and Josh Childress had 25 points off the bench.

Sacramento got 25 points and 13 rebounds from Brad Miller and another 25 points from Beno Udrih.

Atlanta built a 14-point lead in the fourth period only to see it dwindle to four with 4:35 to play. Sacramento, however, got no closer while missing 10 of 13 shots from the field down the stretch.

The Hawks took a one-point halftime lead thanks to a 35-foot shot by Johnson at the buzzer that came as three Sacramento players surrounded him.
