
VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Feb. 24 (UPI) -- Ryan Kesler scored a pair of goals and Daniel Sedin had two assists Saturday night to lead the Vancouver Canucks past Detroit 4-1.
Daniel Sedin combined with Mattias Ohlund to assist on Vancouver's first goal, Alexander Edler's seventh goal of the season, at 14:26 of the first period. Detroit tied the game 1-1 at 16:54 of the first on a power-play goal by Pavel Datsyuk, his 22nd goal of the season, assisted by Derek Meech and Tomas Holmstrom.
The Canucks went up 2-1 when Sami Salo scored on the power play, with assists from Henrik Sedin and Daniel Sedin at 10:39 of the second. Kesler scored unassisted at 3:31 of the third and then scored his 16th goal of the season off a feed from Willie Mitchell with 3:00 left to play.
The Canucks have won four straight, while the Red Wings lost for the eighth time in their last 10 games.
