
LOS ANGELES, Feb. 24 (UPI) -- Pao Gasol had 23 points, five rebounds and six assists Saturday night to lead the Los Angeles Lakers to a 113-95 win over the LA Clippers.
Lamar Odom had 20 points and 10 rebounds and Kobe Bryant had 17 points and seven assists for the Lakers, who won their seventh straight game and their 10th out of 11. Sasha Vujacic scored 17, Jordan Farmar had 14 and Derek Fisher scored 12 for the Lakers.
Corey Maggette scored 23 points and Tim Thomas added 20 for the Clippers, who had carried a two-game winning streak into the contest.
The Lakers went up 29-21 after the first quarter and took a 56-48 lead at the half. They went up by 20 early in the fourth quarter, and the closest the Clippers could come after that was 101-93 -- but then the Lakers held the Clippers to just two points over the final three minutes.
