COL BKB: Notre Dame 94, Syracuse 87

SOUTH BEND, Ind., Feb. 24 (UPI) -- Notre Dame's Kyle McAlarney hit nine three-point shots and finished with 30 points Sunday, powering the 21st-ranked Fighting Irish to a 94-87 win over Syracuse.

McAlarney sank all but two of his 11 three-point tries, setting a school record for most in one game.

Rob Kurz scored 15 points and Luke Harangody had 14 with 14 rebounds for Notre Dame (21-5, 11-3 Big East), which has won 36 in a row on its home court.

The Irish shot at 54.7 percent from the field, with 14 three-pointers.

Paul Harris scored 22 points and Arinze Onuaku 19 for the Orange. Each player also pulled down 12 rebounds.
