
INDIANAPOLIS, Feb. 22 (UPI) -- Mike Dunleavy scored a team-high 34 points Friday when the Indiana Pacers downed the New Jersey Nets 113-103.
An 11-5 surge gave the Nets a 63-58 advantage early in the third period, following Indiana's slim 50-49 halftime edge, but the Pacers responded with a 15-4 run which helped to create an 85-72 lead heading into the final 12 minutes. New Jersey stayed close but never led in the fourth.
Travis Diener scored 19 points. A total of seven players scored in double figures, while Jeff Foster had a game-high 14 rebounds for the Pacers, who snapped a three-game losing streak.
Richard Jefferson led New Jersey with 34 points. Nets' reserve Bostjan Nachbar had 22 points and five rebounds.
Vince Carter had 15 points, six rebounds and eight assists and Trenton Hassell added 11 points for the Nets, who had won five of their previous six games against the Pacers.
The consecutive free throw streak for Indiana's Danny Granger ended at 65 in the third.
