KAPOLEI, Hawaii, Feb. 22 (UPI) -- First-round leader Jeong Jang shot a 4-under 68 Friday to maintain a one-shot advantage with one round to play at the Fields Open in Hawaii.
Jang recorded a 36-hole total of 12-under 132 that left her in front of Song-Hee Kim, who equaled Jang's first-round score of 64. Paula Creamer was alone in third at 134 and Lindsey Wright was another shot back in fourth.
Angela Stanford, Minea Blomqvist, Kelli Kuehne and Annika Sorenstam were all at 136. Sorenstam won her first tournament in more than a year in the LPGA Tour's season opener last week.
Michelle Wie settled for a 73 over the Ko Olina Golf Club course Friday, but she did something she did not do all of last year -- she made the 36-hole cut with a 142 total that put her in a tie for 42nd place.
Kim, playing in her 21st event on the LPGA Tour, has never finished better than a tie for 22nd.
