CORAL GABLES, Fla., Feb. 21 (UPI) -- Jack McClinton made two game-clinching free throws with 1.6 seconds remaining Wednesday, allowing Miami to shock No. 4 Duke 96-95.
After winning 22 of their first 23 games, the Blue Devils have lost two in a row. They turned the ball over 23 times and fell behind by 20 points in the second half.
Dwayne Collins scored a career-best 26 points for the Hurricanes (18-7, 5-6 ACC) and McClinton had 22. Miami won its third straight.
McClinton's two free throws gave the Hurricanes a four-point lead, which they needed when DeMarcus Nelson made a long three-pointer at the buzzer.
Jon Scheyer scored a career-high 27 points for Duke (22-3, 10-2), which lost last weekend to Wake Forest. The Blue Devils allowed Miami to shoot 57 percent from the floor.
