VINA DEL MAR, Chile, Feb. 17 (UPI) -- Italy's Flavia Pennetta and Czech Klara Zakopalova were winners Saturday in the semifinals of the Cachantun Cup in Vina del Mar, Chile.
The top-seeded Pennetta cruised past No. 8 Pauline Parmentier of France 6-2, 6-0 and will play in her fifth career final Sunday.
"I played well today," Pennetta said. "Klara and I know each other well. She is a really good player and we've played several times before. I won my first final against her at Sopot (Poland) in 2004 and I hope to repeat that result."
Zakopalova had a little more difficulty in her 6-2, 7-5 win over Ukraine's Mariya Koryttseva.
When she faces Pennetta, it will be her seventh appearance in a WTA final.
A title would be a king of present for whichever player wins because both have birthdays this month.
The 2008 Vina del Mar champion will earn $30,500.
