The winners opened with a 10-3 run and led 43-23 by halftime. They poured it on in the second with a 49-30 scoring advantage. UNC's biggest lead was 82-42 with 6:00 left.

Wayne Ellington had 19 points, five rebounds and four assists, and Danny Green had 12 points and seven rebounds. Alex Stepheson had 11 points and eight rebounds, and Will Graves scored 10 for the Tar Heels (24-2, 9-2 ACC), who have won three in a row.

It was their fourth straight game without star point guard Ty Lawson (sprained ankle).
