BLOOMINGTON, Ind., Feb. 16 (UPI) -- Eric Gordon scored 28 points Saturday to help the 12th-ranked Indiana Hoosiers post an 80-61 victory over the ninth-ranked Michigan State Spartans.

Jamarcus Ellis and Jordan Crawford each scored 12 points for the Hoosiers (21-4, 10-2 Big Ten).

Drew Neitzel scored 21 points for the Spartans (20-5, 8-4), who have lost three of their last four games. Chris Allen, with 10 points, was the only other Michigan State player to score in double-figures.

Michigan State started strong, scoring eight of the game's first 10 points. The Spartans led 15-4 a third of the way through the first half -- but Indiana scored 12 of the final 19 points in the first half and led 41-33 at the break.
