Former NBA player Orlando Woolridge arrested for theft

COSTA DO SAUIPE, Brazil, Feb. 14 (UPI) -- Nicolas Almagro and Filippo Volandri posted easy wins Thursday to move into the quarterfinals of the Brasil Open.
Almagro, seeded second, coasted past Boris Pashanski 6-2, 6-3. Volandri was a 6-1, 6-2 winner over Guillermo Coria on the clay-court surface.
Almagro and Volandri will meet in the quarterfinals Friday.
In other second-round matches, Eduardo Schwank ousted Peter Luczak 6-2, 6-2, and Nicolas Lapentti downed Sebastian Decoud 6-1, 6-2.
Top-seeded Carlos Moya had already earned a quarterfinal berth and will meet Oscar Hernandez Friday. Fabio Fognini will take on Ivo Minar in the quarters.
