CARBONDALE, Ill., Feb. 14 (UPI) -- Matt Shaw gave Southern Illinois a three-point lead with 2.3 seconds left Wednesday and the Salukis surprised No. 15 Drake 65-62.

The Bulldogs had a 21-game winning streak halted and were prevented from clinching the Missouri Valley Conference title.

Randal Falker and Bryan Mullins both scored 13 points for Southern Illinois (13-12, 8-6 MVC). Shaw contributed eight points.

Leonard Houston's attempt at a game-tying three-pointer bounced off the rim as time expired.

Josh Young scored 17 to lead Drake (22-2, 13-1).
