SUNRISE, Fla., Feb. 13 (UPI) -- Alex Kovalev scored on a power play 1:43 into overtime Wednesday, giving Montreal a 2-1 decision over Florida.

Montreal got a goal from Christopher Higgins. Saku Koivu assisted on both scores. The Canadiens had lost their previous three games.
Carey Price picked up the victory by making 35 saves.
