Spain easily tops Peru in Davis Cup

LIMA, Feb. 11 (UPI) -- Spain advanced to the Davis Cup quarterfinals Sunday, completing a 5-0 shutout of Peru in matches at Lima.

The Spaniards will go against Germany in April.

Feliciano Lopez and Fernando Verdasco beat Luis Horna and Ivan Miranda 6-4, 6-4, 7-6 in the match that gave Spain a 3-0 lead to clinch its victory over Peru in the best-of-five competition.
