Dulko advances to second round in Chile

VINA DEL MAR, Chile, Feb. 11 (UPI) -- Second-seeded Gisela Dulko advanced to the second round Monday at the inaugural Cachantun Cup tennis tournament in Chile.

Dulko needed just over an hour to beat Chilean Camila Silva, 6-4, 6-1. Dulko's second round opponent will be Spaniard Lourdes Dominguez Lino, who also won Monday.

Also, third-seeded Emilie Loit of France was defeated by Czech Petra Cetkovska 6-2, 7-6 (8-6), and fourth-seeded Pauline Parmentier of France defeated Argentina's Maria Emilia Salerni, 5-7, 7-5, 6-3.

In another first-round victory, Ukrainian Mariya Koryttseva beat Colombian Catalina Castano 7-6 (7-3), 6-1.
