COL BKB: Texas A&M 77, Missouri 69

COLUMBIA, Mo., Feb. 9 (UPI) -- Donald Sloan scored nine of his career-high 21 points in the final 72 seconds Saturday, boosting 18th-ranked Texas A&M to a 77-69 victory at Missouri.

Before his game-clinching scoring spurt, his three-pointer with 6:54 to play gave A&M a 57-39 with 6:54 to play.

The winners needed Carter's outburst after a 30-25 halftime deficit.

Mizzou didn't score in the first 5:13 in the second half when the winners began it with 15-0 run.

Bryan Davis and Josh Carter scored 14 points apiece.

Davis added 11 rebounds, and Joseph Jones had seven points and nine rebounds for the Aggies (20-4, 6-3 Big 12), who have won five in a row.

The Aggies made more free throws (23) than Mizzou attempted and had a 42-25 rebounding advantage.

Missouri was led by Leo Lyons' 24 points and four rebounds.

Keon Lawrence scored 13 points, while Justin Safford had 10 points and four rebounds for the Tigers (13-11, 3-6), who have dropped three of four.
