AMES, Iowa, Feb. 9 (UPI) -- A.J. Abrams scored 25 points Saturday, powering the 12th-ranked Texas Longhorns to a 71-65 overtime victory over Iowa State.
D.J. Augustin added 17 points for the Longhorns (19-4, 6-2 Big 12), who have won three in a row. Gary Johnson had 15 points and nine rebounds for Texas.

Jiri Hubalek had 24 points and nine rebounds for the Cyclones (13-11, 3-6), who have lost three in a row.
No one scored in the opening minutes of overtime, until the Longhorns took a 64-62 lead on a Johnson layup with 2:51 remaining.
