ST. LOUIS, Feb. 8 (UPI) -- Derrick Brown scored on a tip-in with a 10th of a second showing on the clock Thursday, giving No. 14 Xavier a 70-68 win over Saint Louis.
Brown scored 12 points and had nine rebounds in boosting the Musketeers (19-4, 7-1 Atlantic 10) to their fifth straight victory.
B.J. Raymond gave Xavier a three-point lead by making two free throws with 21 seconds to play, but the Billikens' Kevin Lisch made a layup and was fouled with 11 seconds remaining. His free throw tied it at 68-68.
Drew Lavender tried to give Xavier the win by driving to the basket, but his layup would not go. Brown, however, was there for the tip.
Josh Duncan scored 15 for Xavier and Lavender had 13. Lisch led Saint Louis (12-10, 3-5) with 25 points.
Xavier let a 13-point lead slip away in the second half.
