WASHINGTON, Feb. 7 (UPI) -- Roger Clemens and former personal trainer Brian McNamee both gave depositions on Capitol Hill Thursday in the probe of performance-enhancing drugs in baseball.
A New York Daily News report on Wednesday said McNamee has turned over physical evidence to federal investigators that could support the findings of Clemens' use of performance enhancers in a recent report authored by former U.S. Senator George Mitchell by current and former major league players.
Neither commented on their depositions before congressional staffers investigating the Mitchell Report (McNamee) and the members of the House Oversight committee (Clemens).
McNamee has been vilified by the public for his claims that he possessed syringes used to inject Clemens with steroids and human growth hormone and still holding traces of Clemens' blood.
The seven-time Cy Young award-winner has denied any use of steroids or human growth hormone (HGH).
