NHL: Montreal 4, Ottawa 3

MONTREAL, Feb. 6 (UPI) -- Tomas Plekanec had two goals and an assist Tuesday, lifting the Montreal Canadians to a 4-3 victory over the Ottawa Senators.

Andrei Kastsitsyn had a goal and two assists for the Canadiens, who moved within a point of Ottawa in the NHL Northeast Division.

Mark Streit also scored for the Canadians and Montreal goalie Cristobal Huet made 26 saves.

Jason Spezza and Antoine Vermette each had a goal and an assist for the Senators, who have lost three straight games. Chris Kelly also scored and Joe Corvo had up two assists in the loss.

Martin Gerber allowed four goals on 26 shots.
