COL BKB: Memphis 77, SMU 48

MEMPHIS, Feb. 6 (UPI) -- Andre Allen scored 19 points Wednesday and Memphis had no trouble staying unbeaten by coasting past SMU 77-48.

The top-ranked Tigers won their 31st straight Conference USA game and their 45th consecutive contest at home. They ran their season record to 22-0 and are 8-0 in the league.

Derrick Rose, Joey Dorsen and Doneal Mack all scored 10 points for Memphis, which was able to rest its starters for most of the second half.

Bamba Fall and Jon Killen each had 12 points for SMU (7-13, 1-6).

Memphis closed out the first half on a 23-4 run to take a 40-18 lead at intermission. The Tigers held the Mustangs to just 32 percent shooting from the field.
