VALPARAISO, Ind., Feb. 6 (UPI) -- Pete Campbell sank a three-pointer with 17 seconds left Tuesday to give the 11th-ranked Butler Bulldogs a 71-68 victory over Valparaiso.
The Bulldogs (20-2, 9-2 Horizon League) went ahead for the first time in the game with that shot.
Just moments earlier, a Jarryd Loyd three-pointer gave Valparaiso a 68-65 lead. However, Mike Green made a left-handed layup to close the gap to one point. The Bulldogs got the game's final point on a free throw.
A.J. Graves had 20 points and eight rebounds, and Campbell 17 points for Butler, which has won four in a row.
Loyd scored 16 points for the Crusaders (14-8, 5-5).
