TALLAHASSEE, Fla., Feb. 3 (UPI) -- Tyler Hansbrough scored eight of his 22 points in overtime Sunday, lifting fourth-ranked North Carolina to an 84-73 win at Florida State.

The ACC's leading scorer and rebounder was held pointless in the game's first 30 minutes before asserting himself offensively.

FSU also took advantage of the high left ankle sprain suffered by North Carolina point guard Ty Lawson just 3:47 into the contest. Lawson scored four points after making both shots he took.

UNC's Danny Green scored 19 points.

Deon Thompson had 11 points and five rebounds, while Hansbrough added a career-high 21 rebounds for the Tar Heels (21-1, 6-1 ACC), who have won three in a row.

Jason Rich led Florida State with 22 points.

Isaiah Swann and Toney Douglas scored 12 each for the Seminoles (13-10, 2-6), who have a three-game losing streak.

The Seminoles' Ryan Reid sank a three-pointer with 8.1 seconds left in regulation, creating the overtime with a 67-67 tie.
