COL BKB: Stanford 65, Washington 51

SEATTLE, Feb. 1 (UPI) -- A career-best 31 points from Brook Lopez Thursday sent No. 14 Stanford to a 65-51 decision over Washington.

The Cardinal won on Washington's home floor for the first time in seven years and did so thanks to a big night from Lopez. The Stanford center made 11 of 17 shots from the field while the rest of the team combined to make just 11 of 35.

It was the fourth straight win for Stanford (17-3, 6-2 Pac-10).

The Cardinal took a 33-22 halftime lead and opened the second period with a 14-4 run. Quincy Pondexter scored 15 points to lead Washington (12-9, 3-5).
