NHL: Nashville 4, Columbus 2

NASHVILLE, Jan. 31 (UPI) -- Alexander Radulov scored just 26 seconds into the game Thursday, starting off a Nashville Predators 4-2 victory over Columbus.

Radulov delivered a goal in his fifth straight game, the best such streak of his career.

Nashville took a 2-0 lead after one period and rebuffed the Blue Jackets after they twice narrowed the deficit to one goal.

The Predators had beaten Columbus 12 straight times before losing to the Blue Jackets Jan. 12.

Jason Arnott gave Nashville a 2-0 lead with a power-play goal midway through the first period and Vernon Fiddler and Scott Nichol scored in the second for the Predators.

Chris Mason made 31 saves for Nashville, 13 during a scoreless third period.

The Predators had lost their previous two games.
