VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Jan. 30 (UPI) -- Steve Ott's short-handed redirection goal in the third period Tuesday gave Dallas a three-goal margin the Stars needed to outlast the Vancouver Canucks 4-3.

Trevor Daley, Mike Modano and Stephane Robidas also scored for Dallas, which ended a two-game skid and improved to 4-2 in its last six.

Marty Turco finished with 29 saves.

Henrik Sedin, Ryan Kesler and Markus Naslund scored for the Canucks, who fell to 1-3-2 in their last six games. Curtis Sanford, starting in goal for Roberto Luongo, who is out for personal reasons, was pulled after giving up three goals on nine shots. Drew MacIntyre had 10 saves in relief of Sanford.
