NHL: Ottawa 5, N.Y. Islanders 2

UNIONDALE, N.Y., Jan. 29 (UPI) -- Mike Fisher had a goal and an assist Tuesday as the Ottawa Senators skated to a 5-2 victory over the New York Islanders.

Chris Phillips, Andrej Meszaros, Jason Spezza and Dean McAmmond scored for the Senators. Ottawa had the best record in the NHL Eastern Conference in the first half of the season but lost five of seven before the All-Star Game.

Ottawa goalie Martin Gerber blocked 23 shots in the win.

Bryan Berard and Sean Bergenheim each had a goal ,and Rick DePietro had 21 saves for New York, which has lost four of its last five games.
