NBA: New Jersey 87, Milwaukee 80

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Jan. 29 (UPI) -- Richard Jefferson scored 20 points Tuesday, helping New Jersey to an 87-80 win over Milwaukee that ended a nine-game losing streak..

Vince Carter added 16 points and 12 rebounds for the Nets.

Jason Kidd, who reportedly has demanded to be traded, scored nine points with just one field goal for New Jersey. Kidd did have 11 assists.

Royal Ivey led the Bucks with 19 points. Maurice Williams and Bobby Simmons each added 14 for Milwaukee, which had leading scorer Michael Redd out with a left knee strain.
