IRVING, Texas, Jan. 29 (UPI) -- Dallas linebacker Greg Ellis has been named an injury replacement to the NFC Pro Bowl team, giving the Cowboys a record 13 players going to the Pro Bowl.

Ellis ruptured an Achilles' tendon in November 2006, which caused him to miss training camp and the first three games of the 2007 season. However, he started the Cowboys final 11 regular-season games, getting a career-best 12.5 sacks.

He will be appearing in his first Pro Bowl. Ellis was selected to replace the Chicago Bears' Lance Briggs.

Other Dallas players on the NFC Pro Bowl team are tackle Flozell Adams, running back Marion Barber, guard Leonard Davis, kicker Nick Folk, center Andre Gurode, safety Ken Hamlin, cornerback Terence Newman, wide receiver Terrell Owens, quarterback Tony Romo, linebacker DeMarcus Ware, safety Roy Williams and tight end Jason Witten.

The Pro Bowl is scheduled for Feb. 10 in Honolulu.
