Campo guided defenses finished in the Top 10 in the league in total defense four of the seven years he was a coordinator and once as a head coach. Throughout his 19 years as an NFL coach, Campo has been a part of three Super Bowl championship teams (XXVII, XXVIII and XXX).

The Cowboys secondary finished the 2007 season tied for sixth in the league with 19 interceptions and 13th in pass defense.
