Former NBA player Orlando Woolridge arrested for theft

SAN DIEGO, Jan. 29 (UPI) -- Brandon Johnson and Gyno Pomare combined for 45 points Monday and the San Diego Toreros surprised No. 20 St. Mary's 63-55.
Johnson finished with 25 points and Pomare had 20 on nine-of-10 shooting for San Diego (11-11, 4-1 WCC). The Toreros have won three straight games for the first time this season.
The Gaels were led by Patrick Mills, who had 13 points, and Omar Samhan, who added 11 points and 10 rebounds. St. Mary's lost for the first time since an 81-62 setback at the hands of Texas Jan. 5.
San Diego pulled ahead 51-48 on a Johnson three-pointer with 3:54 remaining and by the time the Toreros finished their 12-0 spurt, topped by a three-pointer and a jumper by Johnson, they held a 58-48 lead with 1:47 left.
