NBA: New Orleans 117, Denver 93

NEW ORLEANS, Jan. 28 (UPI) -- Chris Paul had 23 points, 17 assists and nine rebounds Monday, propelling the New Orleans Hornets to a 117-93 victory over the Denver Nuggets.

Peja Stojakovic added 19 points, and Tyson Chandler 16 rebounds and 10 points for the Hornets, who won their 10th straight game.

Melvin Ely had 16 points and nine rebounds, and David West and Jannero Pargo 13 points each for the Hornets.

Allen Iverson scored 23 points for the Nuggets, who continued to play without forward Carmelo Anthony, who has missed four straight games with a sprained left ankle.

Kenyon Martin had 18 points and nine rebounds for Denver, which has lost three of its last five games.
