
SAN ANTONIO, Jan. 27 (UPI) -- David West scored 32 points Saturday to lead the New Orleans Hornets' 102-78 rout of the San Antonio Spurs.
New Orleans trailed 43-42 at the break but used a 28-6 run at the outset of a 30-14 fourth quarter to ensure its season-high eighth straight victory, its longest in a single season since an eight-game run from Feb. 19-March 7, 2003.
Peja Stojakovic had 22 points and five rebounds.
Chris Paul had 17 points and 12 assists while Tyson Chandler and Jannero Pargo scored eight points apiece with Chandler adding 12 rebounds.
Additionally, the Hornets established a franchise record with their eighth straight road victory while snapping a six-game losing streak at San Antonio's AT&T Center.
Tim Duncan and Tony Parker led San Antonio with 17 points each.
Ime Udoka had 13 points and seven rebounds.
Manu Ginobli scored 11 points and Fabricio Oberto had 10 points and four rebounds for the Spurs, whose overall three-game winning streak ended.
