COL BKB: Rutgers 77, Pittsburgh 64

PITTSBURGH, Jan. 26 (UPI) -- Corey Chandler scored 18 points as a non-starter Saturday to help Rutgers have a strong second half in a 77-64 win over 17th-ranked Pittsburgh.

Mike Coburn added 17 points for Rutgers (10-11, 2-6 Big East) while making all three of his three-point shots. The unranked Scarlet Knights beat 18th-ranked Villanova on Wednesday.

J.R. Inman had 12 points and Jaron Griffin and Byron Joynes 10 each for Rutgers.

Gilbert Brown led Pittsburgh (16-4, 4-3) with 16 points. It was the Panthers's second loss in their last three games. DeJuan Blair added 14 points and seven rebounds Keith Benjamin and Sam Young each had 10 points for Pitt.
