LOS ANGELES, Jan. 25 (UPI) -- Jason Labarbera carried a shutout into the final minutes Thursday and made 30 saves in lifting Los Angeles to a 3-1 win over Anaheim.

The Ducks lost their second game in as many nights, failing to take advantage of an opportunity to take the lead in the Pacific Division.

Anze Kopitar, Derek Armstrong and Alexander Frolov scored for the Kings, who have won two out of four but who enter the All-Star break with the fewest points (42) in the NHL.

This was the first game of a nine-game road trip for Anaheim, a journey that resumes Wednesday after the break.

Kopitar scored on the power play with 3:44 to play in the first period and Jean-Sebastien Giguere eventually gave up three goals on 18 shots before being replaced.

Rob Niedermayer broke up Labarbera's shutout bid with 3:12 to play.
