COL BKB: Michigan St. 78, Northwestern 62

EVANSTON, Ill., Jan. 25 (UPI) -- A 23-point effort by Raymar Morgan Thursday sent No. 10 Michigan State coasting past Northwestern 78-62.

Drew Neitzel added 20 points and Chris Allen had 17 for the Spartans (17-2, 5-1 Big Ten). Michigan State made 11 of 18 shots from three-point range and hit 60 percent from the field overall.

The Spartans won their third straight and their 14th out of 15 games. It was their 10th consecutive victory over Northwestern.

The Wildcats (6-10, 0-6) were led by Craig Moore with 28 points. Northwestern has lost six out of seven.
