Teammates to honor Taylor at Pro Bowl

NEW YORK, Jan. 23 (UPI) -- Washington's Chris Cooley and Chris Samuels will wear the No. 21 on their jerseys at the Pro Bowl Feb. 10 to honor slain teammate Sean Taylor.

The National Football League announced Wednesday in a statement their jerseys will be auctioned at NFL Auction (nflauction.nfl.com) with the proceeds going to the Sean Taylor Memorial Trust Fund, set up to benefit his daughter, Jackie.

Cooley's Redskins jersey number is 47 and Samuels wears number 60.

Taylor died from the gunshot wound he suffered during a Nov. 25 break-in at his Fort Myers, Fla. home.

At the time, the Redskins' free safety was the leading vote-getter for the Pro Bowl among fans, coaches and players.

His spot will be filled by Dallas Cowboys strong safety Roy Williams.
