Hofstra drops football program

CLEMSON, S.C., Jan. 22 (UPI) -- K.C. Rivers had 19 points and 11 rebounds Tuesday, helping the No. 25 Clemson Tigers to an 80-75 overtime victory over the Wake Forest Demon Deacons.
Rivers also had five steals for the Tigers (15-4, 3-2 ACC), who won for the third time in their last four games. Terrence Oglesby added 13 points.
Ishmael Smith paced Wake Forest (12-6, 2-3) with 19 points and seven assists, but he also had eight turnovers. James Johnson and L.D. Williams each added 14 points for the Deacons.
