NBA: Minnesota 109, Golden State 108

OAKLAND, Calif., Jan. 21 (UPI) -- Ryan Gomes, who scored a career-high 35 points, hit two free throws in the closing seconds Monday, delivering Minnesota a 109-108 win over Golden State.

Gomes also had 11 rebounds. Al Jefferson had 21 points and 12 rebounds for the Minnesota Timberwolves, who ended a five-game losing streak and won on the road for just the second time all season.

Monta Ellis led Golden State with 28 points. Matt Barnes added 20 points for the Warriors, who had won five of six coming in.
