LOS ANGELES, Jan. 21 (UPI) -- Los Angeles forward Trevor Ariza has a broken foot and will be out of the lineup for about eight weeks, the Lakers announced Monday.
The 22-year-old Ariza suffered a fracture in his right foot during practice Sunday.

Ariza was examined by Dr. Ken Jung, a foot specialist, and it was estimated he will "be out approximately eight weeks," a team statement said.
The Lakers acquired Ariza Nov. 20 in a trade with the Orlando Magic. He is is averaging 5.5 points and 3.1 rebounds a game.
