Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

SUN CITY, South Africa, Jan. 20 (UPI) -- Dorothy Delasin and Jennifer Rosales teamed up to shoot a 7-under-par 65 and win the Women's World Cup of Golf for the Philippines Sunday in South Africa.
Delasin and Rosales completed the event in 18-under-par 198, two strokes better than the South Korean team of Yai Shin" class="tpstyle">Ji-Yai Shin and Eun-He Ji. The South Koreans shot a 5-under 67 for a total of 200.
Japan and Taiwan tied for third place at 203.
The American team of Juli Inkster and Pat Hurst finished 10 shots behind the winners.
A better-ball format was used in the final round.
