GLENDALE, Ariz., Jan. 20 (UPI) -- Patrick Kane's backhand shot gave the Chicago Blackhawks a 2-1 shootout win over the Phoenix Coyotes Saturday.

Goalie Patrick Lalime stopped two shots in the shootout and finished with 38 saves.

The Blackhawks have won four straight games. Phoenix has dropped four of six.

Peter Mueller knocked in a goal for the Coyotes and Ilya Bryzgalov made 23 saves.
