NEW YORK, Jan. 20 (UPI) -- The NBA Sunday suspended Atlanta Hawks guard Anthony Johnson for one game for hitting an opposing player in the head.

Johnson was ejected for a flagrant foul after he struck Toronto's Jose Calderon with his forearm in an 89-78 loss to the Raptors Friday.

Johnson, who is averaging 6.3 points and 4.9 assists this season, will miss the Hawks' game against Portland Monday and will be eligible to rejoin the lineup at Denver Wednesday.
