NBA: Houston 83, San Antonio 81

HOUSTON, Jan. 20 (UPI) -- A dunk by Yao Ming and a free throw by Rafer Alston gave Houston its final points Saturday in an 83-81 victory over the San Antonio Spurs.

The Spurs had a last-second chance to tie or win the game but Matt Bonner's shot bounced off the rim.

Yao finished with 21 points and 14 rebounds. Alston had 16 points and six assists.

Tim Duncan led San Antonio with 24 points and 17 rebounds.
