NBA: Memphis 124, Seattle 100

MEMPHIS, Jan. 18 (UPI) -- Mike Miller and Pau Gasol combined for 49 points Friday, lifting the Memphis Grizzlies to a 124-100 win over Seattle.

The SuperSonics have dropped nine in a row, their longest losing streak in 35 years.

Miller scored 25 points and Gasol had 12 rebounds to go with his 24.

Memphis also got 21 points off the bench from Juan Carlos Navarro and Bobby Jones contributed 20 points and 13 rebounds. The Grizzlies snapped a five-game losing streak.

Seattle was led by Kevin Durant with 22 points.

The Sonics have not lost 10 in a row since 1968 and they face games in Dallas and Houston during the next three days. The longest losing streak in franchise history is 12 games.
