NHL: Detroit 3, Vancouver 2 (SO)

DETROIT, Jan. 17 (UPI) -- Henrik Zetterberg delivered the only shootout goal Thursday, allowing the Detroit Red Wings to end a three-game losing streak with a 3-2 win over Vancouver.

Zetterberg's backhander got through the pads of Robert Luongo and Dominik Hasek stopped all three shootout shots to preserve the win.

Daniel Cleary scored twice and Hasek made 26 saves. Detroit fired 49 shots at Luongo.

Vancouver overcame a 2-0 deficit to force overtime on goals by Henrik Sedin and Markus Naslund.
